In MS SharePoint 2007 when the task is initiated, the initiator enters the name of the assignees. I cannot publish the workflow with no assignees, what is need to get this to work?
I am creating a reusable workflow for reviewing documents.  I want the initiator to enter the email addresses of the assignees.  How can I do this?

Within the Workflow Settings section, available within the designer ribbon, click 'Variables'.
Create a new 'Person or Group' variable and check the 'Show on Start Form' and 'Required' check box.
When the workflow is started the initiator will now be prompted to enter this information before the workflow starts. The information entered by the initiator will be available to the workflow as a variable.
