User A starts more than a process instance for the same process that has a destination rule that contains him (User A).

User A opens his work list and finds no items assigned for him.

he has all the process rights checked, All the Server Rights checked, and he is not out of office.

if he opens the management tab and drills through processes node to the required process instances , he sees all of them there.

he also cannot see them in the worklists node under the the workflow server node in the management tab

Dear Bashar,

Can you please elaborate more regarding below inquiries.

  • Is this probelm appears when u starta multiple instances at the same time? Or all the time when user A instantiate a process he doesn't find it at his task list?
  • can u find them when u open the management tab or not?
  • if you can find them at the management tab:

    •  do you find an item assigned to user A or assigned to diffrent users?
    • if u find an item assigned to user A! please elaborate more regarding the status of this application?

  • if u can tag snapshots that would be better.

Dear Abeer

thanks for your help

Below are my answers

1.  all the time when user A instantiate a process he doesn't find it at his task list

2+3. they are found in the instances only not in the worklists, the item is active but not assigned to any user. it shows  the originator is User A.

Viewing Worklist items do not require any permissions, if a task is assigned to you, you WILL have permissions to see in your Worklist and action it (assuming slots, Destination rules and all the other configurations are in order). Who are assigned as Destination users in the Reports?

If users cannot see their tasks, it is usually caused one of two situations:

  1. Kerberos is failing (I don't think is the case since you can't see it in the Worklists list in Management Console)
  2. The process has gone into an error state. Check the reports to validate the process (not activity or event) status.

thanks for your answers; the problem is solved

it seems that there was a hidden error in the deployment of a smart object and it's related data that caused this to happen.

Many thanks To Abeer and DC.
