K2 Leave process - Dynamic levels

Hi,

We are building an HR Leave process. The process is such that based
on the role type of the leave applicant.

If the leave applicant is
staff, the process will be 3 levels (section manager, unit manager, dept manager
approvals)

So if the leave applicant is section manager, he will have
only two levels of approval. (Unit manager, dept manager)

For the above
scenario, I wanted to check if you could help us by providing sample K2 process.


Also our design is to use custom code to get the approvers from the Sql
database where we are storing all the data regarding the approvers & leave
system details. Can we use smart objects to be used in getting the users list?
Please provide me with some samples.
