I am very new to K2 and just trying to figure things out.  What I would like to do is kickoff a workflow based on different events taking place in Sharepoint.  In one event I would like to lauch a workflow by adding a new document, while in another when a new list item is added to the record.

I am trying to use the Sharepoint Events Integration Wizard but am so far having no luck.  I am able to successfully test the connection when I enter the site in the "Sharepoint Site URL" however when I try and specify a list in the SharePoint List field by drilling down in the Lists node in the Context Browser I get a "Server was unable to process request -> User cannot be found" error.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this problem?

Do you have the appropriate rights in SharePoint to those lists?

Could be a problem with SharePoint user setup and/or security. Make sure the user you are using to start the workflow is a user in the SharePoint site collection and has the needed rights. Try using Administrator if you can just to get things started.

Perhaps I am missing something because the KB, DavidL and Zeppelin refer to the user who is starting the workflow but so far I have not had to specify a user or role who will be launching the workflow.  I literally just have a start icon on my workflow and am just trying to add Sharepoint Events Process wizard to the page and on the first page of the Wizard I was getting the error.

I have gone into the K2 help and noticed that the Sharepoint Site URL must be point to the top level site so I have changed this my child site (i.e. http://sharepointsite/child) to the parent (http://sharepointsite/) and I am now able to access Lists when I click on the Browse button.  However my problem is that the list where I want a new workflow to be kicked off is on the child site (http://sharepointsite/child) and only the lists avaiable at the parent are shown.

Is there anyway around this problem?
