I have seen this ocurring many times and it happens with visual studio which has K2 project open. I have faced two scenerio

1. Update properties under smart object and save it.

Visual studio hangs and restarts itself. It goes into loop, everytime  save it closes and re-opens.

2. Update properties under smart object methods. same as above

Solution to both of them: reboot machine

Do you have the .NET 2.0 Framework SP1 installed? If so, there is a known issue and there is an update (KB000201) that may help. Check out http://kb.k2workflow.com/articles/kb000201.aspx.

do you find that Visual Studio memory leaks? - I've raised this as a support ticket... it would seem that it's isolated to me at the moment :-)

did you try to change the 'type' (e.g. Text, Memo, Yes/No) of a field in your smartobject definition - if so this is repeatable in a virtual pc I have... I guess there's a fix coming for this... It does make visual studio crash... also, if you use SmartObject integration and have enough methods integrated to need to 'scroll' through them.... this will cause it to crash too :-)

Hi Martin,

We face this problem as well. Running the K2 Visual Studio on our local XP workstations with 2G of ram still causes one of the developers on my team to crash about 5 times a day. Dev Studio reaches around a gig of ram at which point it crashes.

I too have a ticket open with K2.

Hey Mac,

thats not good... I thought it might have been something to do with the fact we host our virtual pc development environment in VMWare rather than VPC.

still, at least two tickets is better than one

I was curious if there was a fix for this yet? I was about to open a ticket for this. I have XP and 2.5 gb of RAM and it crashes about every 20 minutes. My VStudio on Vista actually runs longer. That is scary....something runing on Vista better than XP :)

Hi Corey,

Have you installed the 0803 version released a couple weeks back? It may resolve your issue.

You can download the bits here.

I did install those bits. So far so good on the crashing now I have a smart object issue. See thread http://k2underground.com/forums/thread/23585.aspx.
