Nintex Forms/WF SharePoint List Question

Jump to solution

Hello,

When I used InfoPath I had options where when form was submitted I could set up in Data Connections that it could just email, email and populate list choices.  I have a need to have the user fill out the form and then the workflow will just email the information/tasks.  I do not want it to publish to the list due to the sensitivity of the data.  Is this possible?

Thanks,

Carrie.

Hi Carrie E. Calvi‌,

What version of Nintex are you using? Office 365, SharePoint or Workflow Cloud?

Cheers,

Hi Carrie E. Calvi,

Ok. Ive just moved the question across to the SharePoint space.

So the way Nintex Forms and Workflow talk to each other is through the SharePoint list. So, a Form will always put the data into the SharePoint list.

One thing you could do is on submit, a workflow could remove all the permissions form the SharePoint list item, then use a Nintex Workflow to email the details to the recipient. The workflow could then delete the item.

You can use the Set Item Permissions action and use the Inherit permissions from parent set to No and give the Initiator Full Control

Cheers,
Euan
