List Lookup control is not updating the task form

Hi,

 

I'm using list lookup control on my form and choose record from the dropdown. However the record that i've selected are not reflected in the task form. When approver received the task form, its not showing the record that user have selected.

 

Anyone know how can I fix this.

connecting/storing just  lookup text/display value is not sufficient for lookup control to work.
