Nintex 2013 workflow import error

Jump to solution

After importing a Nintex 2013 workflow it tells me in an create list item action that some list fields are write protected? We can then save the workflow, but it's not pssible to publish the workflow.

We tried to delete the list and create it from ground up, but no changes. If we delete the action and add the same action with the same configuration, it works fine.

Does anyboda had the same problem? Is this a workflow configuration error or is the list configuration wrong?

Did you check if you have full permissions for updating / writing to list ? you should have site level permissions for this as by default lists & libraries will inherit site level permissions. check with that first.

If it is not a problem with permissions, sometimes you need to give a kick off to site features by accessing them from site settings---> manage site features (below the site Actions) ---> sharepoint/nintex features needed deactivate & activate them again

Hi Manju

Thanks for your answer, but this didn't solve the Problem.

In the meantime I found the solution. Because we renamed some columns in the List, the workflow Action had some false Field Refs. That's why the workflow didn't Import properly.

After properly set up the list Settings and the workflow, everything worked like a charm.
