Looking for a way to dynamic Parallel Actions with Request Data Tasks

Jump to solution

I have a dynamic number of requests going out to users to collect documents.   They need to run at the same time, I can't wait for one to complete before sending the next.  Each request is different.  Is there a way to do Dynamic Parallel Actions?

Thanks,

Brad

Hi Brad Overton,

Instead of creating parallel actions, you can have dynamic number of users configured to receive the task. Which ever user interaction action you are using, you can choose the field from your SP list or library which has the list of all the users being assigned the request. Would that work?

There is no way to create parallel action dynamically.

you can do that with workflows run in parallel.

in your main workflow you will need to build a logic what particular workflow should be started at what conditions and within the single workflows you will assign your specific tasks.

have a look here for details Multiple concurrent tasks

this would not work because all the tasks are different.

Workflows in parallel might work.   How do I pass the Assignee values to the new workflows?

simply create workflow variable in a to be started workflow and hand it value over.

make sure you set 'show on start form' at  variable definition
