A simple workflow on a SharePoint 2013 doc library is not starting. The workflow should start under these conditions:
The doc library has check-out/check-in enabled. The workflow does not start whether the item's status is modified to Change Required, saved, and left checked out or whether modified to Change Required, saved and checked in. No workflow history. Nada. Thanks.

Update: The workflow triggers as designed when Check-in/check-out is disabled in the doc library.

Just tested it with a docLib with checkin/out enabled. The workflow waits until the document gets checkedin to fire but it works fine for me.

Thanks for your help. Not triggering for me. I have opened a support ticket with Nintex.

This is the response I received from Nintex Support. I do not believe this to be accurate:

Thank you for providing that information. I believe that a workflow cannot stare once an item has been checkout of a document library it is locked by design.
