I've tried a number of different settings to get Lazy Approval working. I have tried following the Nintex Lazy Approval guide, but no matter what I do, when I try to reply to a task which has Lazy Approval enabled, I get this message back in Outlook:

This leads me to think that the email address replied from didn't match the one delivered to. Could this be possible? Like a shared mailbox or something?
Figured it out.
You are on the right path. The problem was you can't respond ON BEHALF of someone via lazy approval, you have to actually be that person. No matter how high permissions I gave myself on this test account's mailbox, I could not reply to these emails successfully from within Outlook. I was able to if I opened webmail, logged in as that user, and replied to the email there.
Sorry I don't think I understand. I didn't cc myself in the attempt that worked. I simply logged in as the correct user using webmail, that way it recognized me as that person.
