Symptoms
We created an editable list view and would like to change the tooltip of one column dynamically.
When the row is validated, we would like to show in the textbox tooltip another field of the SmartObject linked to a drop-down list.
We want to keep the tooltip even if the user saves the data and reloads the view later.
Diagnoses
There is an existing feature request for this.
Resolution
This ticket was linked to a feature request with TFS item 397407 - "Able to make the tooltip a dynamic feature" - "it would be good to have a option to populate tooltip of listview columns body with a properties from associated smart object or generally using expression editor."
As already previously discussed, it seems like the only way you're going to get this working is with a custom JavaScript event, for example OnHover.
