The company I am working for would like to use Blackpearl in a few upcoming projects.  Because several of our developers are not familiar with Blackpearl, we were wondering if there are any certifications or training courses available.  We would like to get up to speed quickly and make sure we are covering all relevant information, so if you know of anything we can use please let me know.  Thanks!

Josh,

I do not believe that K2 offers any K2 certification programs yet and you bring up a good point.  At the moment it is strongly recommend that you add a skilled K2 consultant to your team to conduct both a K2 training course as well as to participate in the design and initial development.  This will ensure that you start off on the right track and leverage the platform to its full extent and do not waste time coding features that K2 provides out the box (we have seen too much of this).

K2 themselves can offer you this training service and there are other companies that can provide K2 expertise too.  I work for Caprivi Solutions which was really founded by ex-K2 employees in Canada and the company specializes in providing such K2 training including K2 blackpoint.  The company also has K2 online training options for partners which can reduce travel costs significantly.
