Hi Guys

just want to know in this forum the majority of people who uses state machines
in their farms, do they have safelooping switched on or off?

We have been having this issue for a while where state machine workflows get stuck
when switching state. I have read other articles people saying switching off
safelooping helped them but also Nintex warns us saying it might be risky to
switch safelooping off.

I have a problem that my workflows that uses pause for a minute ends up pausing for 30 to an hour.

Anyone experiencing the same issue?

Dan StollVadim Tabakman

Please looking forward to hear from you guys.

I usually switch off safe looping to gain a faster state machine.

All workflows are designed and tested in a test farm, so no looping error
should occur in production farm.

Thank you, have you experienced any issues by switching it off?

So I eventually got my admin guys to switch off safe looping for me and I republished my workflow that uses state machines and I could not believe my eyes when I submitted something that normally takes 20minutes and it took 1 minute. I am still very shocked how much difference does safe looping do.

I need to obviously analyze my other workflows and ensure that none will have unending loops.

Nintex maybe needs to come up with a way where we can set this configuration on a workflow level.

Thank you
