Workflow not starting - O365

Hi,

  I have a workflow in O365 that uses a Create List Item action to add an item in a list. On that list, I have a workflow that is configured to run when an item is created but it is not starting the workflow. Any ideas...

Are you creating the list item using an App Step?

Yes, through a Create List Item action.

Jason, I've run into this before, it is just the way SharePoint works, workflows will not trigger on a create in an App Step.

What you have to do (high level) is create the list item, pause for like up to 5 minutes, then update the list item (which would then trigger the email)

It's not pretty

In my SharePoint memory, I remember that when an item was created by System Account, it could not sart any workflow automtically (security reason) ?

Don't know if this is still the same....nor if your problem could be related.
