You could have 2 variables. One is the start of business hours and the other the end of business hours. Then you can use an If statement to check if the current time is in between (greater than and less than) those 2 variables.

So your variable is greater than variable 1 and less than variable 2.

Let me explain with an example to simplify.

Let's say I have a variable called CurrentTime, i.e: 2014-09-22 11:42:09.377

I want to check CurrentTime is a business hour or not.

The values are not available directly within a workflow.

You could look to see if the business hours (I guess you mean the ones defined in the SharePoint sites Regional Settings) are available to read via one of the many SharePoint web service. To find this you would need to look at the Microsoft documentation online.

If they are you could then use the Call Web Service action in Nintex Workflow to read the values in to variables for use in the workflow.

What I mean is you can define your business hours. Say 9:00am is variable 1 and 5:00pm is variable 2.

Or you could work with workflow constants. With this option you only have to set this up once.

Cheers,

If this is only going to be used in one site, you would only have to set it up once anyway. But with workflow constants it would give you the freedom to use it later if need be.
