Have you restarted your server?

Have you solved it?

Was the solution deployed before the update? SharePoint should not be trying to redeploy a solution that is already deployed after an update. Please provide more information when you can and we will try to help where we can.

According to your title of the post, I assume this is the error you are receiving. If this is so, check the server services (not sharepoint) and make sure the SharePoint Admin service, and SharePoint Timer service are both running and set to Automatic. If they are already automatic, rebooting can help this, but it can also be done manually.

Also, after the SP1 update, you must run the SharePoint Config Wizard to complete the update.
