Following an upgrade of K2 to 4.6.8 I have noticed we have a new Plug-in called 'Workspace Server Plugin'. Does anyone know the purpose of the plugin.

The Workspace Server Plugin is what controls the connect between the server that your K2 instance is installed on and the Workspace browser. This is what allows Workspace to display the active items in your queue. I am unaware for what reason that the powers that be decided to make the plugin more discrete, though it mostly likely had something to do with system performance, or some such matter.
