How do you Format a Date in a HTML Table?

Jump to solution

Actually 2 questions here.

I have a Site workflow that generates a HTML table that inserts a Date Time variable (Effective From & Created as per table below). I don't need the time part of the variable but can't seem to find a way to remove it from the table. Any ideas please.

I'm also not happy with the login name for "Created By" and would prefer it formatted to just name. Any ideas to achieve this?

I've attached my WF.

Thanks

Craig

Hi Craig,

Without looking at your workflow, how are you populating the table? If you are utilising variables you could assign the Created by to a string variable and set the name in the following way - just select the display name in the return type:

As for the date, you could also use the fn-FormatDate function to set the variable to display just the date:

fn-FormatDate(Created, "dd/MM/yyyy")

This would result in 23/06/2016

Mark

Hi Mark

The Set Variable worked perfect. I couldn't quite get the date format to work but i managed a work around by creating a calculated column and formatting it there.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers
