Hello,

We have a finished workflow setup and deployed. When the user presses submit an worklist notification email is sent to our helpdesk which then gets placed in our helpdesk queue for any of the support team to access. The issue is that any users from support cannot access the worklist item even though they have been givin admin/view/start rights from the workspace.

I have noticed if the activities desitination user is set to a direct users email, they can open the worklist item. Does K2 have a security feature that can allow any user or a targetted group of users to access worklist items?

Kind Regards,

Martin

Hi Dunny

Process rights are not used for task permissions. Even if you have admin rights you cannot action a task unless you are destination user for that task.

The users who can action a task are those added to the Destination Sets in the Activity's Destination Rule. Using an email address is probably not advised, I would stick with using account names (e.g. domainusername).

If you want to allow anyone in the helpdesk to action a task, you will need to either:

a) add every help desk user in individually in the set

b) use a group (e.g. AD or SharePoint) that all Helpdesk users are a member of

c) use a K2 role with users and /or groups added to it

Have a look at the K2 Blackpearl help for more info on Destinations

Thanks Andrew,

A group email has now been created and works!
