There is a solution I found in this blog. But it didn't solve my question.
I used Replace({YOURINPUTTEXT},"[0-9]*;#","")
This isn't working because I couldn't find the necessary (text) YOURINPUTTEXT in the Named controls.
I used calculated value to display as a auto populated field which is a Person or group type. This works but i get the hash tags before the person name.

Hello Ram,
I think you should able to insert named control of your calculated field in place of YOURINPUTTEXT on Nintex form.
Click on Calculated control, on the ribbon at General section you can see Name. If it is empty write some name there. Then use that name from named controls.
