How can I use a RegEx to display characters to the right of a '\' in a string?

I need to extract the username from a string which includes Domain\Username. Using DOMAIN\\ as mentioned in this page doesn't work so I was hoping I could just return the characters to the right of the slash. Is that possible?

/^[^\\]+\\/

  • ^ assert position at start of the string
  • [^\\]+ match a single character not present in the list below
    • Quantifier: + Between one and unlimited times, as many times as possible, giving back as needed [greedy]
    • \\ matches the character \ literally
  • \\ matches the character \ literally

Kind regards

Manfred
