How can I know which site owners/sites are using Nintex workflows?

We are a large company with hundreds of site owners. How can I know which site owners/sites are using Nintex workflows?

We are using on-premise with Microsoft 2010.

Hi Marcia,

how do you define "using Nintex Workflow" exactly? Does it mean there are workflows running on the site? Or is it already enough if the Nintex feature is activated on the site?

I think both can be checked by a PowerShell script.

I need to know which lists have Nintex workflows running and who created the workflows, if possible.

I hope you have server access so you can write/execute PowerShell scripts?!

Then it would be possible to:

  • loop through all farms
  • loop through all webApps of all farms
  • loop through all sitecollections of each webApp
  • loop through each site of each sitecollection
  • loop through each list of each site
  • get the WorkflowAssociations for each list
  • get the WorkflowAssociation of each lists WorkflowAssociationCollection

The WorkflowAssociation object will hopefully provide all information you are looking for. I wonder if you can see if it is a Nintex or a standard SharePoint workflow. Will have to try this myself.
