Get list items without using call web service?

Jump to solution

Hi

I have a quick question.

Is it possible to get all entries from a list (with multiple columns) without using call web service on SP 2010.

We use forms based authentication and I have downloaded the custom call web service action Nintex provided but cannot import it into our environment due to errors.

I tried the Query list action but only takes one column in a variable at a time.

All I need to do is get any list entries that were added that day and stick them in a send notification action to be sent off via a scheduled workflow but without the call web service its proving difficult.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Jamie

Hello,

You'll have to use the Query List action and then store the columns that are returned in separate collection variables.  Each collection variable will therefore represent a column in your list.  You will then loop through these collections to extract the data in order to place it into your notification.   I don't think there is really any other way to accomplish getting the entire list into the format that you want.

Thanks Mike. It looks like that is the way I am going to have to go with this.
