Grace Period before Workitem Completes

Occasionally the user realized they have made a mistake (usually within an hour) when completing a workitem and requests to put it back to their queue (using GotoActivity).   This is not impossible when the workitem is completed.

A way to delay the completion is to use a dummy activity at the end of process and delay its start by 2 days.   After 2 days the process completes.   The minor negative effect is that this shows as active.  Is anyone using this method?

It would have been very flexible if workflow could allow reactivation of workitem and go to a specific activity (without creating a new process request).   It'll be up to the workflow admin to determine if their process supports this type of operation.

Maybe future BlackPearl can mark it as Completed but do not move the process from transactional database until after 2 days of completion to ease the reactivation of workitem?
