Hi, I'm a newbie in K2 .Net workflow system and I need some clarification on how K2 stores data.

I realise all data in a K2 .Net workflow systems are stored in K2 database(correct me if I am wrong). If I would like to migrate my classic ASP applications to K2 and want to keep my existing data (in MS SQL), how do I do this?

Is it a requirement by K2 to store data in it's K2 database? Can I continue to store them in my existing application database?

Yes you can still store your application data externally. You'll need to store some kind of ID link back to your application database so routing condition can look up the record.

in that case, will i be double-entrying the data in K2 database and my own application database?

is there any example where I can see how this is done?

Thanks for replying.
