Form does not expand with repeating section when using multi select choice control

I have an older desktop form that I want to add a repeating section to. The repeating section contains a date/time control, a multi select choice control  and a single line text control.

With the multi select choice control included, the repeating section overlaps controls below it. When I remove the multi select choice control, the forms expands as it should. 

Is this a bug? Is there a solution?

can you provide more details in what circumstances do you experience the problem, what's your exact design, what forms version are you on ... ?

as far as I can tell it works correctly.

I was trying to add this into an old form - about 2-3 years old. we're using on premise 2010. 

Instead I created a new form and the problem went away.
