Flexi Tasks approvers not recieving initial email notification but DO recieve the reminder.

Running into issues of Flexi task approvers not receiving initial email notification but DO receive the reminder (regardless of time set to reminders). It is a workflow guided by "set conditions". Following the flow, all set conditions clear and the workflow gets hung up on Flexi Tasks. Any ideas what is happening?

Can You show as Task notification configuration of flexi task?

Is the Assignees set? You can try hard-coding the people who are to be tasked just to troubleshoot to see if it works.

Assignees is set (screenshot below). Same thing happens regardless of who is assigned. I few ppl in deferent departments are having this issue.

Before going into Willard's flexi-task, log to history and display his email address. I believe something is wrong within that flexi-task keeping it from going anywhere.
