I'm having a problem with the flex task form. I've modified it so that if someone picks "Reject", which resolves to "13", then the comment field is required. The basics of it works. If someone selects the "Reject" radio button, a big red highlight get set around the comment field.
BUT ... if I type something in the comment field and try to save the form, it still thinks there's nothing in the field. This is the validation looks like right now. I've tried the 13 without quotes, with single quotes, and now with double quotes and I still get the same problem. It is applied to the "Comments" field in the flex task form.
Your validation rule should be when decision=13 AND the comments field is blank. Add "&&" then choose the function "is null" (or similar - not at machine to check) passing in your named control comments.
the rule you have above will always make your form invalid when decision = 13
Got it! Thanks. I’ll try that right now.
