External Read List

Hi

I was wondering if it was possible to create a look up list from an external "Read list", rather than from the external list directly?

I have set up a read list as follows -

But when I try to look for the list in the "Source List" in the List look up it is not available?

When use the External Data Column type

I have the original lists available to me

This works fine.

I am only wondering if this is possible as I am trying to confirm if it will fix some issues that I am having.

Otherwise we will need to stay with the external data column.

Thanks

Karen

Re: External Read List

Hi

I have just been able to try this that may have been able to solve this question.

I used the "Expression" field as follows -

The list is now appearing -

Although it is not ordered A-Z it is appearing Z-A.  This will need to be amended. If I have a solution, I will post it here, separately as the external read list is now working and has solved some of my performance issue that I was experiencing.

Thanks

Karen
