Error in creating Cascading Dropdown list. Again

Created 2 lists Regions, CCodes

My second dropdown Control looks like this: (Where a1 is first control)

When I select a Region, I'm expecting associated countries to be displayed. But after selecting the Region, nothing is displayed in the second list. I looked around the community and found answers from @ Brad Overton and @ Marian Hatala

Still not able to figure out a solution. When I place a calculated Value, I see below answer

Re: Error in creating Cascading Dropdown list. Again

if you expect country lookup to be pre-populated with a value by region selection, then cascading doesn't work that way.

it just filters/restricts list of available options in dependent control.

from the screenshot you provided I would say filtering on countries works correctly, since you are provided with 'please select a value' message.

if there were no options to select from there would be the message.

Re: Error in creating Cascading Dropdown list. Again

Marian, Thanks for looking into it.

I'm trying filter from list of available options in the dependent control.

I've implemented exactly specified in https://community.nintex.com/docs/DOC-1201  If you scroll down on this article, and see your previous response to Larry.... I'm in exact same state as Larry was in. I changed my column to Lookup and still didn't see any change.

Re: Error in creating Cascading Dropdown list. Again

I'm sorry, I can't find any of my posts that would be addressed to Larry there.

have a look as well on following thread, there I posted step by step example how to cascade 3 levels of lookups

if that still doesn't help describe your problem into very details here, if possible provide screenshots of your setup and what errors do you get, if any.

Re: Error in creating Cascading Dropdown list. Again

Two list lookups.

1.Countries: USA

2.CANADA

States: All states in USA and Canada.

If you configure in this fashion, your issue will be fixed.

Ramana, If you look into images above (my images), I've have done exactly the same way. You have given a name countryLookup and I've given  name "a1". but followed the same steps.

Re: Error in creating Cascading Dropdown list. Again

Hi Adi Narayan,

What version are you on and have you found a solution (or maybe a workaround)?

I came across the same-ish issue when trying to implement a cascading dropdown.

I am on v.2.11.2.0.

I have posted about my issue Cascading Dropdowns not working.‌.
