In the context of K2,

What might be some reason why activity data fields would be used during the course of a process? (as opposed to all process level data fields.)

When do benefits derive from the use of the Activity fields?

When should one NOT use Activity Fields for a process?

thanks in advance.

Activity datafields are only accessible from the activity they have been created in and the line rule immediately following the activity.

Activity datafields are 'copied' for each destination user.

For example, you would use activity datafields to capture the individual destination users' responses and then have a rule to evaluate the values of the activity datafields (e.g. if at least 2 destination users approved).

Note: If multiple destination users in one activity are changing process data, they will overwrite one another's values.
