Due Date for tasks set to: 1/1/0001

Jump to solution

I built a workflow that includes an Assign Flexitask for approvals.

It's setting the flexitask due dates to 1/1/0001 so it fails saying that they don't need a response and then I get a message that the workflow is in error.

I've attached a screenshot of the workflow design.

I'm lost obviously.

Are you putting something in the due date option of the flexi-task, or are you leaving it blank?

I'm leaving it blank.  There is no option to set it to a variable that I can tell such as 5 days from the day the task is assigned, etc.  You can only set it to a static date.

There’s a drop down field next to the due date that is defaulted to “Value”.  If you change that to “Workflow data”, you can then use a variable to set the due date.

Thanks Brendan.  That works as I can set the due date to Today's date or Specify a date via the variable.  I'm wondering though if it's possible to set it to say 2 days from the date of the task creation.  This workflow will take some time to become fully complete.

Yes, you can. Use a calculate date action to calculate your due date. You can configure it to use the current date/time, then in the days section enter “2”. It will add 2 days to the current date/time. Save that in your workflow variable, then use that variable to set the due date.

Hi Brendan, is there a bug in Nintex?

I just did exactly what you mentioned:

1. Calculate a date into a local variable of type "Date and Time"

2. Set DueDate in dropdown to "Workflow Data" and assign the variable

3. Save and Publish

If I reopen my workflow the Due Date value of the flexi task is enpty again. In another Task (Type: Request Data) the same is working fine...

Thanks

Roman

Emily, can you tell us which version this "Due Date" field was added to the "Flexi Task" action configuration window?  The version that we are on does not have that field as an option.
