Determine layout in javascript

Jump to solution

I am using Sharepoint 2013 to design my forms. We have layouts for iPad and mobile devices in additional to the standard layout. In the iPad layout I would like to call the SetFullScreenMode() function to hide the left hand navigation.

If I put this in the Javascript portion of the form it hides it for all layouts. I only want it to hide for the iPad layout.

Is there a way using Javascript to determine which layout the form is using?

Hi,

It may exist a better approach but you could try this workaround.

On your iPad layout, add a panel with a CSS Class i.e. "only-ipad".

Then, modify your JavaScript code to condition the SetFullScreenMode() function call.

if(NWF$(".only-ipad").length >0) { ... };
