Hi,
I am using Nintex 2010 version. I am trying to create a SharePoint list item using Nintex workflow. I want to create the item inside a specific folder available in the list. Is there a way to do the same?
Thanks,
Siva
Hi Siva,
I'm using Nintex Forms 2013 but it should be the same.
You could use "Create in another site" action.
Let the current site as selected.
Then locate your list.
Finally write the targeted folder URL (it could be a calculated value).
Hi Pierre
Thanks for your reply.
1. I do not have the "Create item in another site" - Workflow Action
2. In the "Create Item" workflow item, the "Action" tab is disabled. Is there any way to enable it?
Thanks in advance!
Regards
Siva
I've just been connected to a customer site that uses Nintex Workflow 2010 and there is the same action, as below :
Don't you have the same? Anyone else to confirm it must be present?
Unfortunately, I don't see that WF Action available
Hi Pierre
I believe, this configuration should also be possible using the "Create items" workflow action by making the necessary configurations in the "Actions" tab.. From the environment I work, I can use the "Create Item" workflow action, but the "Actions" tab is disabled.. Any suggestions why it might be disabled or how can this be enabled?
Thanks,
Siva
Actually, "Action" tab is what you get on the default configuration form (as in your screenshot).
The question still is why are these buttons greyed out?
I have no more idea so I try some large questions:
- What Edition of Nintex Workflow do you have? Which version number ?
- Could it be a license expiration issue?
Hi Sivacharan Somalinga,
For the actions greyed out issue, you might want to check the following articles:
Why are my Nintex 2010 workflow designer buttons grayed out?
Form ribbon greyed out in Google Chrome
Could be some browser incompatibility / master page issues.
The greying of the buttons were due to IE issues. It is now appearing fine. Thanks!
