Another approach - if you know how many iterations there will be is this

It means you do not have to change any of the settings.

If you do not know how many iterations there will be, disabling safe looping risks you having an infinite loop.

any details on what you're doing and why you may exceed  the threshold?

what's you actual threshold value?

@emha - default of 250 but This loop is running every five minutes can this be changed to hourly?

without providing any details I do not know what you're doing...

5min seems to be safe looping interval, which is driven by timer job frequency. it doen't make sense to change timer job to run just once in an hour.

and it will not influence number of your loop iterations anyhow. just you get error much later
