Hi,

On the server we have installed K2 blackpearl 0807 (4.8210.2.0) with the 4.8210.2.370 update.

Can I upgrade my dev machine with the latest build+updates and still be able to deploy solutions to the server? The reason I don't want to upgrade the server yet, is time. But I really would love to develope my workflows in Visual Studio 2008...

Visual studio 2008 is currently unsupported, this will however be supported in our next major release. Please refer to  http://help.k2.com/en/blackpearlmatrix.aspx#VisualStudio
Upgrading your server to the latest version still would not support Studio 2008. Upgrading should not affect the deployment of processes. Ensure that the installation user has sufficient rights to the DB’s, ect.

Always put all machines connected to the same environment at the same release level.

Vernon, I was thinking of the 090x beta- version which has support for VS2008.

Davidl, Will this allways apply? I mean, a hotfix release for a spesific Visual Studio bug shouldn't neccesary involve a server upgrade?
