Can a new state be inserted between states in a state machine?

Jump to solution

Basically, I have several states within a State Machine requiring a string of approvals. I now have to add/insert a new State between existing state branches. I have not found an answer to this as yet. Is this possible? If so, how? I don't want to have to add a new State at the end and copy actions down the path in order to open a branch in the middle. Thanks in advance, for your support.

In newer versions of Nintex Forms You can move a branch:

But the order of states in diagram is not important but the change state actions.

To insert a new state into your state machine double click the state machine (or use the drop down and select configure) and then choose Add state from the bottom of the window.
