I need to create a site scheduled workflow that sends emails to the assignee (depending on what it is) two weeks before and some one week before. I need help setting this up without using the pause (which pauses the workflow). Any suggestions/ help is much appreciated!

I did but they are all so different and not really helping me. I need to create a site workflow that runs everyday. If the reminder date (a date field in the list) equals today. Then a notification is sent out with the item URL.
Can someone help me with this? Thanks much!

This is almost exactly what you are looking for explained in quite small steps. Of course you will have to adapt this solution.
