Add a rule

Hi there,

I have a question regarding to add rules to Choice control. There are only two choices 'yes' and 'no' in the Choice. I want to add a rule that if the you click 'Yes' in Choice, then 'Status' cannot be 'In Progress'. The rule I wrote is 'and(equal(Status, "In Progress"), equal(ReadyForReview, "Yes"))', then Invalidate. I don't know what is wrong with it. It is my first time using Nintex form and I hope someone can help me on it.

Best,

Frank

Re: Add a rule

Updated your post, removed assumed answered.

Is this O365? Even if not, you can compare Named controls using = sign. Status="In Progress". Make sure you are using the Named controls and not the Item Properties when using the formulas.

Re: Add a rule

Is ReadyForReview realy a choice control or is it a yes/no checkbox control?

Fot the later, it directly evaluates to boolean true/false so you cannot compare it with string "yes"

Re: Add a rule

Hi Frank,

you're close but the correct function is "equals", not "equal". So edit your query to the following should make it work:

and(equals(Status, "In Progress"), equals(ReadyForReview, "Yes"))
