I am using an sql query successfully to pull data and process into a sharepoint list, but it crashes when I try to process 3000 records of 20+ columns of text. To avoid this I chunk the data by filtering on one of the fields and looping through them.
the issue is that only the first query works, the second iteration of the loop fails with a database connection error.
I have move from a loop to a workflow, called by another work flow which does the looping hoping the separation of the loop structure would resolve it but it has not.
Error performing database operation. A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is
if I run a single iteration of the query and processing it works fin, every time.
attached is the sql query action I am using
I'm not sure if this would be the issue, but I had a very similar reaction to one of my own SQL queries where the second batch like yours always failed. I found that there was a data issue with that batch of items and I did not have a connection issue though that was the error. Is it possible that you change the order of the batches you query by sort or filter so you get a different set of records? This will at least rule out it is a data issue and you can continue from there.
The data issue was a mismatch type
