That should be entirely up to the cookie of the site. What would be the adverse affect of allowing a submission if the form is left open in the browser for an hour? Just trying to understand your scenario.
I have a similar question. A new item form times 20-30 minutes after it was created. If we try to save a form after 20-30 mins after it was opened all the data entered in the fields is erased and the new form page opens up again.
Is there a way to extend the time out?
My form will be used by Principal/ vice principal of school and in them middle of filling out something may happen and they leave their desk and come back after half an hour, I don't what the form to loose all it's content.

I believe it is a SharePoint form session timeout issue and not a Nintex issue.

I know this is what you need, but just wanted to make sure you knew this would change the timeout for all forms on the entire Web App.
