Hello together,
I´m new to the product and im struggling with the problem that I´m unable to get a list lookup to work. I am now searching for a long time, but I could not find an answer.
I´m trying to get the field "ReminderDate" from my list and to check it against the current date. So if the "ReminderDate" is equal today is should send a mail to the person which is defined in the send notification.
But the problem is, I don´t know how to define the "ReminderDate = today". In the SharePoint workflow designer it´s simple to create a lookup for the field and to check it against the current date.
Why do i always get the relation function twice? I only want to use this date (not to check the date itself) and to check it against the current date.
Does anybody know a solution?
Thank you.
Hi Daniel,
In your red rectangle, check 'Use Date when action is executed' and equals (ignoring time) if available to you.
It should work but I have tried it out without success.
You can also in your case use less or equals, just set-up when your workflow runs, accordingly.
If you really need the date only, you can also read this blog post

Hi Christophe,
thanks for your reply. I tried it, but It doesn´t work. if the ReminderDate is today or tomorrow nothing happens. If I try the same with a item based workflow it works.
Is it possible to run the list workflow for the whole list as a scheduled task? Or do I have to configure this in another way?
Daniel,
What is working for a item based workflow?

Christophe
The workflow works if I build it up for an intem based run. But not if I build it as a siteworkflow.
Here the item based condition check:
