I have an IPC process which is used to update metadata in sharepoint. At times this IPC needs to be kicked off multiple times for one process instance which means the same sharepoint list row is up for update multiple times. Inevitably this causes a lock returned from sharepoint because the list row is already being updated. I would like to add code to the Exception Rule for the activity containing the sharepoint update event which would retry the event when in error. This should probably have a random delay included. Any thoughts on a code snipit for this?
