K2 Blackpearl Performance

HI,

 

We have K2 blackpearl ( version :- 4.6.7 (4.12060.1590.0)) installed in one server with K2 database on another server. Also we have a workflow project which has 1 master workflow and 7 sub workflows.  Initially when we started our system integration testing the handshake from the subworkflow to main workflow was happening seamlessly. But now we are facing time lag of 2 minutes for the mainworkflow to get the handle from the subworkflow.

 

How to resolve this issue?

 

Any help on this will be much apreciated

You should start by checking the reports in the process portal/workspace and checking for which step(s) is eating all of your time budget.

Are you starting the "subworkflows" using IPC events?  If so, those are asyncronous by natire.  I don't believe there is any guarantee about when IPC events will be executed because the K2 server can prioritize and buffer these calls depnding on various load situations.
