Issue
In certain scenarios deployment errors might appear mentioning methods like "Create Item List Item", "Update Item List Item", "Upload Document Document MetaData By ID", "Update Document Document MetaData By ID". This error can appear for either the package or the target list.Symptoms
Unable to resolve the Package references to move on to deployment.
Resolution
This occurs because the source and target list / Library is not in sync. Those methods are only created on a list / Library that allows management of content types.
If "Allow Management of content types" is enabled, these methods will generate when generating Data / SmartObjects. This means if this setting is disabled on the Source list / Library and a package is created to deploy to a target where this setting is enabled, it will fail with the error message that the method is not found in the package.
List and Libraries needs to be fully in sync and this includes Management of Content types options.
