How is the delegate notified when a task is escalated?

When a flexi task uses the "Delegate task" type of escalation, how is the delegate notified that they now have a task assigned to them?

I see where the original assignee gets a notification via the "Not Required Notification".  Surely the new assignee receives some sort of message.  I've run some simple tests, but have yet to see anything notifying the new assignee.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

he/she gets the message you designed on 'Task notification' tab (so just the same as original asignee, plus there is appended a comment entered on delegation page.

So . . . funny story.  Outlook decided to start sending my test messages to Clutter.  I didn't receive the delegation notification when a task was escalated in my Inbox.  It would be helpful if the Nintex Workflow Help documentation included a statement, similar to yours, about the notification to the escalated delegate.

Thank you for your help.
