Showing Count of List Items on Site workflow start page BEFORE executing full workflow

Hi All,

Does anyone know if it is possible to Query a list and have the count displayed on a start form before initiating a full workflow?

I have a site workflow that a user would need to be able to confirm the number of items on the list before starting the workflow. They have asked that the total appear on the start form and give them an opportunity to choose to continue or go back and edit the list.

I can't seem to find any where this has been done. I have looked at using a smaller workflow that simply does the count and then starts the main workflow if the condition = yes. But I cant figure out how to make the form interactive.

Please advise

Hi,

Use a calulated value control on the form and look up the list
Count(lookup("YourListName","Folder Child Count",0,"ID",true))
Only thing you need to change is YourListName and the number of items will be returned.
The only issue with this is that it only works up to 1000.
