How to convert a Nintex Form to a pdf file and then merge it to multiple pdf attachments into a single pdf file?

I have a custom list for expense reimbursement request submission. Users attach multiple pdf files (receipts) when they submit an expense reimbursement. So the goal is to after managers' approvals each request the form and the attached files will be merged to a single pdf file and will be saved to a specific document library. Our security team will not allow to use muhimbi. So is there any other solution available to achieve this functionality?

Thank you all.

Right now you can't create pdf files of a form dynamically. However you could use the update document action to write stuff into a word file and afterwards convert it to a pdf.

Do you have sequential approvals or do all managers have to approve at the same time? In your workflow you could update the same word document after each approval or update one approval section with all approval data after everyone approved.

Would that help?

What if multiple people are filling out a form around the same time and that word document is being updated in each time? Wouldn't that increase the risk of the User A getting User B's form data in their PDF? It would constantly be wrong.

Hi,

each workflow creates a copy of the template word document and then works within that copy of the document. So there won't be an interference between workflow instances.

Inside a workflow instance the only thing to make sure is that your workflow actions add the information to specific place holders inside a document. So if user A and user B can work within the same workflow but their responses are directed to different place holders in the document (if there is anything to write at all).

Best regards
