We increased our SharePoint/Windows Server patching frequency last October. Between then and now, an issue has surfaced with Nintex forms. If you leave a Nintex form open in Chrome for more than 60 seconds and then try to cancel/save/close, it gives a web page not available error. It seems to only happen on larger, more complex forms. Anyone else seeing this behavior? We didn't catch it right away because often users get in and out within 60 seconds. If you have a similar config as us, would you mind testing to see if you get the same results for one of your large forms please?

Note: One correlation we've made is whenever we gracefully shut down and restart our SharePoint Distributed Cache service, the forms break.

Here's our config:

Chrome (doesn't matter what version - we've tried some really old ones and the newest version)

SharePoint Server Enterprise 15.0.4667.1000 (Nov 2014 CU)

Windows Server 2012 Standard (patched through Jan 2015)

AppFabric 1.1 (CU5)

Nintex Forms 2013 (Version: 2.5.0.0)

We've opened a ticket with Nintex support, but were hoping maybe some others were observing this same behavior to help pin down the root cause.

Thanks for anything you can send our way wink.png

In case others are experiencing this issue, this turned out to be a combination of load balancer and SharePoint web front end IIS timeout settings. Once we increased the timeouts in both locations to 2 hours vs. 60 seconds, this issue was resolved.
